We are Camel Xecue: Growers, Packers & Shippers of Specialty Medjool Dates. We are located in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. We are a family owned and operating business since 1994, and currently have up to 70,000 palm trees in production.

The word  ‘Camel’ was chosen (besides the fact that people often compare dates and camels to the Middle East) because ‘Ca’ are the first letters of Carlos (son of the Founders), and ‘Mel’ are the first letters of Melissa (daughter of the Founders). Ca+Mel = Camel. Xecue means ‘love’ in a Mexican Indian Dialect.
